Sub Lt. Sunil Khatri currently serves as the Associate NCC Officer for the Naval Wing of the NCC Unit at Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET), facilitating seamless coordination between TCET and 1 Maharashtra Naval Unit, Mumbai Group 'B'. In this critical role, he oversees administrative planning and event execution, ensuring cadets receive consistent training, discipline, and support.

A passionate educator and innovation mentor with over 9+ years of experience, Sub Lt. Khatri actively integrates IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and electronics into practical, real-world student projects. Beyond technical education, he emphasizes leadership, discipline, innovation, and collaboration as the foundation for developing future engineers and NCC cadets.

As the Convenor of the Ministry of Education's Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at TCET, he has been instrumental in fostering an ecosystem where students can ideate, prototype, and showcase their work on national platforms. His commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship complements his NCC responsibilities, enabling cadets and students to excel in both technical excellence and holistic personality development.

Distinguished Leadership Achievement:
Sub Lt. Khatri successfully completed the prestigious PRCN (SD): 174 Course at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Kamptee. Among 500+ officers from across India undergoing an intensive 90-day training programme, he was awarded the Director General's Baton (Overall Best Cadet) and the Commandant's Gold Medal – Navy Wing, recognizing his outstanding leadership, discipline, military proficiency, and overall performance.

Under his mentorship, students and cadets have:

  • Presented technical models at the Idea & Innovation Camp during the Republic Day Camp (RDC), highlighting TCET's excellence in innovation.
  • Participated in hackathons, prototype challenges, innovation competitions, and conferences, developing multidisciplinary, technology-driven solutions.
  • Benefited from a leadership-driven learning environment that integrates innovation, discipline, teamwork, and professional ethics.
